Professional Learning Plan

Here is my first shot at Prezi.  I didn't mention it on my project, but it is a pretty cool application.  All the more reason to keep going w/ ed tech!

  1. Scott,
Kudos to you for playing with Prezi. I used it for the first time for my PLP too and loved it. Your previous thoughts on your tech skills cracked me up, you fantasy football pro you!  You pointed out MANY different technologies we have worked with. As I went through the presentation I was struck by how many things we actually have explored. One key message you focus on is that you not only learned how to use a lot of different technologies, but how to teach better using them. I can see how technology can motivate and inspire our students, but we have to be introspective, as you said, and make sure that the learning is actually happening with these tools. You’re right, we can build on what we have done in CEP 810, 811 and 812. ( I want to improve my STAIR design too!) I was struck by your thoughts about time management and taking classes, etc. I didn’t think about that in my PLP and probably could stand to make some improvements too. Finally, kudos to you for sticking with the Comstock wiki page until it was finally accepted! Good luck with all of your ed tech summer projects. It’s been a pleasure to be in class with you.

  2. Scott,

Great Prezi! I find it hard to make a Prezi design effective. I usually like to draw it out to get a feel of where I want the content to go for the overall presentation. You did a great job. I really liked the portion regarding your goals. I have similar goals and believe it would be great to teach what we are learning. It has been great working with you, good luck with everything this summer.

  3. Scott-
I think that your PLP is one the most honest reflections I have read in a long time. I really like how you gain insight on what you would like to accomplish for yourself, and your realization that only you can accomplish it. I also am impressed with your PREZI, I am to scared to try to use this program, because I am uncomfortable with mapping out my thoughts in this way. Great job on making a goal to incorporate UDL into all your lessons. I think that UDL is something I really need to work on as well. Great job! Good luck in all your future classes!
